Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
Aloha! Straight from the island where the palm trees are blowing in the wind, comes the newest renovation to a Walt Disney World Resort. This tropical Paradise is also know as Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Its nestled right on Bay Lake with a direct view to Magic Kingdom park. When you check into the resort you are even greeted with a Hawaiian lei.
There are many reasons why this is my newest favorite resort on Disney grounds. First and foremost, the choices for food here are to die for!! We will start with one of the most popular dining experiences at Disney, Ohana. This restaurant offers skewers of chicken, steak and shrimp along with an amazing family oriented dining experience. Ohana actually means family which makes it even more special. There is a Polynesian dinner luau called Spirits of Aloha on property that features hula dancing, fire dancing and an all you can eat tropical feast. Kona Café, Kona Island, Captain Cooks and Trader Sam’s are a few of the other choices you will have at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. You have to try the chicken teriyaki sandwich at Captain Cooks!!
Next on our list is the amenities at this resort. The Polynesian Reosrt offers two fabulous pools. The Lava Pool offers zero entry access and a thrilling water slide! You can also find Movies under the stars, campfire activities, water sports, volleyball, a jogging trail, childcare services, and watching the water shows and firework shows from the beach area.
Getting around Disney will not be hard from this location. You will have monorail access, water transportation and bus transportation. If you want to bring you own vehicle then parking will be free. Disney’s Magical Express is complimentary and will take you to and from the airport.
Lastly, we can talk about these beautiful rooms! You can choose from a room with 2 queen beds, 2 queen beds and a day bed, or one of the newest rooms, the villas and bungalows. The villas feature a queen bed, pull out sofa bed and a single murphy bed. Also, they have 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette. The bungalows have 2 bedrooms and sleep 8. They even have their own personal plunge pool.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at the Polynesian Resort. From the comfortable and spacious rooms to the extrodinary choice is dining to the exciting amenities and convience of trasportation. This reort will not let you down. There is always something exciting to do!
