Mickey Mouse Inspired Wreath

Are you looking for an inexpensive way to spruce up your front door for the fall season?  What better way than an easy DIY project that includes a touch of Disney- a Mickey Mouse inspired wreath.
If you don’t consider yourself a crafty person, don’t feel intimidated.  It’s really an easy process and you only need a limited amount of supplies.  The best part is that once your wreath is complete, you can change the decorations to go along with the different seasons or holidays.
You will need the following materials, which can be found at your local craft store:
wreath– 1   18″ grapevine wreath
wreath ears– (2) 10″ grapevine wreaths
twine– dark brown twine
– fall festive decorations for wreaths, such as fall flowers, pumpkins, etc.
– wreath hanger
** Since I am a bargain hunter, I was able to use in store coupons for my local craft store and found the fall decorations on the clearance  table.  In the future, I will keep my eye out for other holiday decorations on clearance to change my wreath for the different seasons.
Directions:
1. Find a flat area for your workspace.  Place your 18″ wreath in the middle.
2. Lay your two 10″ wreaths above the 18″ wreath, as if they are Mickey ears.  I placed them before I attached them to make sure the spacing was correct.
3. Cut 4 strips of 6 inches of twine.
4. Wrap a piece of the twine to attach the ear (10″ wreath) to the head (18″ wreath). I did this in two different sections of each ear for extra reinforcement.
5. Repeat for the 2nd ear (10″ wreath).
6. Now it’s time to decorate!  I threaded the flowers and other decorations into the wreath.
You are finished!  Use the wreath hanger to display it on your door.  I have a double front door, so I ended up making two wreaths for my house and then I was so impressed with myself that I made a wreath for my mom.  She actually already had a decorated 18″ wreath for fall, so all I had to do was add the two 10″ wreaths as ears.

I hope this has inspired you to create your own Mickey Mouse wreath for fall.
