A New Way to Start your Magic Kingdom Day
Have you ever Magic Kingdom’s rope drop ceremony? If so, you may recall the large crowds waiting along with you outside the gates of the Magic Kingdom.
Starting January 9th, you will have the opportunity for a whole new experience. You will be invited to enter the Main Street, U.S.A. area of the park before the park’s scheduled opening time. Take a stroll along Main Street and take in all of the charm and magic. You can enjoy breakfast or a drink at the Main Street Bakery. Then promptly at opening, a brand new welcome show will officially open the park on the Castle Forecourt Stage. A Royal Herald will appear with a proclamation and welcome a few familiar characters to the stage, officially opening the park so “the magic can begin!”
Although when I first heard rumors about the ending of the rope drop, I wasn’t very optimistic. After hearing the new plans I have to say the thought of grabbing a muffin and a coffee while walking down Main Street, before the park opens, makes me smile.
