Weekend getaway to Columbus, Ohio

We live right outside of Pittsburgh, PA which is less than three hours from Columbus, so it’s an easy trip to make.
We stay in an area called Easton which is filled with shopping, restaurants, bars, and entertainment. My daughter loves the American Girl store while my son loves the ice cream shop, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. There is something for everyone in this area and that’s why we choose this area for our overnight accommodations. Everything is safely within walking distance so little legs won’t get tired.
The Columbus area has so many fun attractions. Your family will love the LegoLand Discovery Center. My family really had a great time at COSI, The Center of Science and Industry. It is an amazing science center with interactive exhibits. Your kids will have a ton of fun learning while playing.
The attraction that we visit the most, is the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. This zoo is amazing! They have animals that we don’t typically see in local zoos. My son loves the barn area where kids get to interact with farm animals while my daughter loves the reptile habitat. The whole family loves the Heart of Africa section. It is a 43 acre section where animals roam in an African Savanna-like environment. You can get very close to animals and even feed giraffes.
