INSIGHT INTO MSC CRUISES
MSC cruises has experienced significant growth in America in the past couple of years.
As a privately owned company, it started out in shipping and has evolved into one of the top cruise companies worldwide.
MSC cruisers are predominantly families, groups and couples, creating a fun vibe but is not the “party” scene that some of the other cruise lines are known for.
MSC offers a Yacht Club level option that includes exclusive amenities such as private expedited embarkation, a personal butler, private dining and pool area.
Ocean Cay, their private island, which is also an internationally recognized marine reserve with excellent options for snorkeling and water sports.
The food in the main dining room was always done well, with multiple options nightly, friendly and wonderful service. In both the main dining and speciality restaurants we had no problem with substitutions or requests. In addition to the main dining room MSC cruises also offers a variety of specialty dining options that include a Steakhouse & Seafood, Latin Americian & Mexican, French, Vietnamese,Nordic Gastronomy, Teppanyaki, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Sushi and Robatayaki options. 
In comparison to other cruise lines, the onboard entertainment was adequate, with the notable exception of the circus show, which was well done but required an additional charge. While walking around you could always find something so do, sky walks, water slides, trivia, flash dance parties and small pop up shows which made wandering the ship fun on sea days. The spa onboard offers a full range of treatments (massages facials salon appointments and more) and includes a thermal pass. The spa area was always well kept, clean and never over crowded.
