The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
My family and I had the pleasure of staying at The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Grand Floridian is an elegant and magical Disney resort. It is located on Disney property on the Seven Seas Lagoon and is a monorail resort. The first stop on the monorail is The Magic Kingdom!
The Grand was inspired by Victorian-era beach resorts at the turn of the century. As you step into the five story lobby you immediately see the elegance and sophistication that this resort is known for; from the Italian tile floor (with hidden Mickey’s and other Disney characters), to the live orchestra that plays every evening, to the many beautiful shops, boutiques and restaurants, this resort offers so much for guests of all ages.
Our room was beautiful and the staff was amazing. Every room even has nightly turn-down service. We would come in every evening and find chocolates on our pillows – the kids loved it!
The Grand has two beautiful pools. The Courtyard Pool, the quiet pool and The Beach Pool, with a beautiful waterfall, amazing slide, and “splash” play area for toddlers. This pool is adjacent to the beautiful white sand beach of the resort. You will even find a marina where you can rent boats and watch the fireworks over Magic Kingdom every evening. There are movies “under the stars” many evenings as well.
The Grand offers a total of ten restaurants. If you’re looking for Character Dining there are a couple to choose from – whether you’re staying at the Grand or another hotel. If you’re looking for a Character Dinner, check out Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner Buffet at 1900 Park Fare Restaurant. This is a great restaurant where you can bring your princess all dressed up – maybe even after an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. My children loved meeting Cinderella and Prince Charming. Cinderella’s evil step sisters and step mother, who were “wickedly” funny, were also in attendance. Want to try a Character Breakfast? Also at 1900 Park Fare is the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast with Mary Poppins and friends. My children loved the Mickey waffles and meeting all the characters. And don’t forget the autograph books and cameras!!
Also located at The Grand is a Health Club and Senses, a Disney Spa. This is a full service spa for adults but you can bring your little princess (age 4-12) for a mani/pedi. Also located at the Grand are the Disney Vacation Club Villas. These are an excellent alternative for larger families.
As you can see, The Grand Floridian is a wonderful resort that offers many amenities for guests of all ages!! I know you will enjoy this resort as much as my family did.
Don’t forget to check out all of the resorts that Disney offers.

I have been visiting Disney and experiencing the magic since I was a little girl. I love helping my clients experience that magic as well.
