101 Dream Vacations’ Louisiana Dream Team (Tiffany Poche’ & myself, Claire Stafford) spent a Sunday dreaming of a vacation on the high seas after a Travel Consultant Tour & Lunch on the Carnival Dream. The Carnival Dream crew treated us to a learn and lunch sharing new features on the ship, new cruising adventures, and 4 course meal with dancing wait staff! Top 4 favorites of this visit:
Renovations
Food & Dink
Seuss at Sea
Carnival Journey
Some of our favorite features included the newly renovated, spacious ocean view and balcony staterooms which look more like luxurious hotel rooms. Each ocean view and balcony staterooms we viewed were spacious enough for a full sized sleeper sofa for comfortable lounging! Some staterooms even had vanities and double sinks in the bathroom areas! We loved the spa renovations which include Thalassotherapy rooms & pool with an ocean view. The Carnival Dream provides a plethora of activities to do on days at sea including the elaborate slide system including slides called “Twister”, “Speedway Racers”, “Drainpipe”, and even a toddler slide. Click here for more information on the slides which are fun for young ones and the young at heart.
The Dream’s children’s area is currently under construction as they create a Dr. Seuss wonderland! The Seuss at Sea program includes a Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast (character breakfast), Seuss-a-palooza Parade, story time, and bookville allowing for children to play, rent books, and participate in Seuss-tastic programs such as interactive story time and arts & crafts. We love that parents are also invited!
Other renovations include additions of BlueIguana Taquella Bar, Red Frog Rum Pub, and the Taste Bar. BlueIguana has Mexican drinks and authentic Mexican food all day long with a salsa buffet. Red Frog Rum Pub gives you Caribbean flavor in foods and drinks morning to evening. The Taste allows you to stop in for tastes of your destinations and free appetizers before dinner. Frankly, you cannot go wrong with the cuisine on this ship! Tiffany and I had crab cakes, caesar salad, steak, and creme boulle! All deliciously tantalizing our tastebuds. You get to experience a tropical vacation, shouldn’t your tastebuds get a taste of adventure?
The Carnival Dream sails from New Orleans on trips ranging from 2 day quick cruises to 10+ day cruises which explore exotic, less traveled locations. Short cruises usually visit exciting ports in Mexico where tropical drinks, beaches, and Mayan ruins await exploration. Carnival launched a new cruising adventure called Carnival Journey
with the Dream out of New Orleans the day of our tour and luncheon! It sailed for 11 says docking in outstanding ports such as Bermuda! Other Carnival Journey cruises, which sail 10 days or more, dock in tropical paradises like Bermuda, Antigua, San Juan, and more! Imagine such luxury without spending the money on plane rides, the expenses of lodging, and time driving, all with the ease of English speaking guides while exploring extraordinary, tropical beaches and jungles.
Imagine the sunsets. Picture the relaxation of lounging on the deck, reading your favorite book, and while drinking your favorite icy drink. Taste the molten chocolate cake melting in your mouth. Feel the air bubbles tickle your skin while you snorkel, watching colorful fish scurry bye. Let your heart beat quicken as you fly over a tropical jungle on a zip line. Take a break. You deserve it.
