10 Spots for Breastfeeding at Walt Disney World
Top 10 Spots For Breastfeeding at Walt Disney World
If you are thinking about bringing a baby to Walt Disney World and wondered if you would have to be seperated from your family or stuck back in the hotel when feeding time comes around, this post is for you! We are bringing you our top 10 spots for breastfeeding at Walt Disney World. You can also check out why we think it is never to early to bring a child to Disney here.
10. Baby Centers – This is an obvious spot, but it is a great option if you need a few moments of complete quiet in air condition. This is also a great spot if you need a diaper change or forgot any baby essentials. The baby centers are great, even if this is never your stop for feeding I suggest you go and check it out.
9. Universe of Energy, Ellen’s Energy Adventure – This is number 9 because, well it’s not my favorite … but it is a whopping 45 minutes, if your child nurses for a while this is most certainly one for you. OR well if you or baby needs a quick nap. (Hmmm maybe that can be another blog post)
8. It’s a Small World – Well it’s not my favorite ride either, so I put it at 8… but it is a classic and one you will almost certainly be bringing your other littles on. So sit back enjoy the song and the air conditioner. This ride makes a good breastfeeding ride because it is nice and slow and a little longer than others.
7. Shows – I went generic on this one because it would have to be the top 50 spots if I listed all the shows out. Some of the great shows include, Nemo the Musical (AK), The Lion King (AK), Beauty and the Beast (HS), Indiana Jones (HS), Lights Motor Action Stunt Show (HS), Voyage of the Little Mermaid (HS), First Time in Forever Sing Along (HS), Mickey’s PhilharMagic (MK), Hall of Presidents (MK), Country Bear Jamboree (MK), American Adventure (Epcot). The list could go on, but you get the point. Most of these are air-conditioned.
6. Grand Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – Request the last row for a little more comfort and enjoy Donald and his Amigos. This ride is slightly shorter than others so this one may not work if your baby nurses for a long time.
5. Living With the Land – This is another one where you can request the last row for added privacy and comfort while breastfeeding. This ride takes about 20 minutes and is nice and slow with no sudden stops.
4. Pirates of the Caribbean- This ride is also long and slow. The upside to it is that it’s dark and cool in the ride. The only downside to this ride, there is one little drop in the beginning of the ride that may startle your baby for a moment, so hold tight.
3. The Great Movie Ride – This air-conditioned, slow-moving ride is perfect place escape from the heat while feeding your baby. The ride is 22 minutes, which for most babies is plenty of time to nurse. The only down side, at times the ride gets loud.
2. Haunted Mansion- This is one of my favorite rides. It is cool, and extremely dark. It is nice and slow and everyone in my family loves this ride.
1. The Carousel of Progress – While technically this could fall under a “show” I enjoy it so much I gave it it’s own number. The 22-minute air-conditioned theater is dark and provides a lot of privacy. Best part: it’s rarely crowded so you can find a private seat. Be warned you may be signing ‘There’s A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow’ for a few weeks after leaving.
Honorable Mentions – There are so many great spots to feed your baby while at Walt Disney World we couldn’t stop at 10, here are some other great spots that just missed our list: Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid, and Spaceship Earth.
So as you can see Walt Disney World is not lacking in spots to feed your baby, and there are so many more not named. Did we miss your favorite breastfeeding spot?
