Toy Story Land Opening Date

 Have you heard the big date?

June 30th, 2018 is the big day that the new Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios will open!

101 Dream Vacations agents, AnnMarie and Jackie attended a special event in New York City on February 16th to learn about Toy Story Land and all it has to offer.  It was an honor to learn from very special Disney cast members Brandon Peters, Phil Holmes and Dave Minichiello along with some of our favorite toys Woody, Jessie and Buzz.
When you enter the bright and colorful larger than life land you will feel as if you have shrunk to toy size.   As you explore Andy’s backyard you will witness larger than life games, building blocks, toy soldiers, tinkertoy and so much more!

It was so exciting to get to see Slinky Dog and learn how exciting and fun the Slinky Dog Dash is going to be.  The Slinky Dog Dash is a coaster that takes you on a family friendly, wild, toy filled adventure as it stretched throughout the land.
You may already be familiar with one of the Hollywood favorites, Toy Story Mania.  If you have visited before, searched the web, or spoke to friend, family or your travel agent you may already know how long the wait can get for this must do attraction.  Disney is always looking to make sure that their guests have the best possible experience so they have added an additional track.  We expect that the additional track will help shorten the wait and keep the lines moving.
Alien Swirling Saucers will take you inside the playset that Andy won at Pizza Planet for a wild rocket ride as they spin you into space while listening to the intergalactic soundtrack.  From what we are hearing if you are really lucky you may even get “chosen” by the claw!

And for the food!

With all the fun and excitement you are sure to work up an appetite so be sure to stop at Woody’s Lunch Box.  Woody’s Lunch Box, a quick service location that will offer classic American breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices.  Some of the items you may see on the menu is old-fashioned soda floats, hot dogs, chicken, waffles, along with other Toy Story-themed specialties.
