Mobile Ordering at Disney Parks

Did you know you can use your mobile device to order food and beverages at quick service locations at Disney Parks?  It’s so easy to use and helps avoid long food lines.  Disney is enhancing this feature to make it even easier to use the mobile ordering.  The newest update includes simpler navigation, more photos of menu items and colorful icons.  Guests with certain food allergies and food restrictions can also discover safe options that are available at certain locations.  Keep in mind that Disney is very food allergy friendly and the chef will work with you at each restaurant to make sure your meal meets your dietary need.  I’ve had a personal experience with this when I visited Disney and was soy and dairy free.  The allergy was noted on my dining reservations.  At each restaurant the chef met me before I was seated to go over my food allergies.  I was highly impressed with the personal attention.
With over 20 quick service restaurants participating at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, you can quickly and easily place a meal or snack order from anywhere in the park.  Once you arrive at the restaurant tap “I’m Here” and your order will be ready at the mobile ordering window within a few minutes.  It’s so convenient to automatically have your dining credits deducted from your dining plan and not to have to wait in long lines.  During my family’s most recent visit to Walt Disney World, I encountered a tremendous line at Aloha Isle.  While my craving for a delicious Dole whip was resonating, I was not prepared to stand in the long line.  Thankfully I thought of the mobile ordering app!  My Dole whip was ready within mere minutes and I avoided the hangry meltdowns by my three young children.  I utilized the mobile ordering throughout the trip and I was extremely happy with the service.  I will suggest that if you notice an error in your dining credits or don’t receive a particular item with your order that you should have received, don’t hesitate to ask a cast member for help.  Disney is constantly trying to help streamline your visit.  There are so many useful tools, including the mobile food ordering, on the MyDisneyExperience app and Disneyland app which help you maximize your time at the Disney Parks.
