Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue

Recently guests who have been trying to obtain a boarding pass for the virtual queue to ride Rise of the Resistance have been noticing it’s “virtually” impossible. Until now, in order to get a boarding pass guests needed to be inside the park at the park’s opening. Thankfully Disney has made changes that I think all guests will appreciate. Beginning November 3, 2020, guests with a valid park ticket or annual pass and a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be able to access the virtual queue system at 7 am on the day of their park reservation from the convenience of their Disney resort hotel or any location nearby to Walt Disney World. This will be much more convenient to guests with small children who might not be able to get to the park’s front gate to try to get the boarding pass upon the park’s opening. The virtual queue will reopen, as it currently does, at 2 pm for guests who were unable to obtain a boarding pass for the first virtual queue earlier in the day. In order to get a boarding pass in the second virtual queue, guests must physically be in the park and is subject to availability and not guaranteed. In order to access the boarding passes, you must utilize the MyDisneyExperience app.
Another recent change to Rise of the Resistance is the installation of plexiglass between the two rows of seats, enabling more guests to enjoy this attraction each day. Disney is always looking to make guests’ experiences more magical and enjoyable and these recent changes to Rise of the Resistance will certainly help.

Thank you Erica Sprague for the update on Rise of the Resistance and thank you Katy Richards for the photographs.
